Antique Standard Diaries 1879 Athens County Ohio There are two diaries both from 1879: A) bound into the leather cover has the name GH Mayhugh written on it - he appears to have been a school teacher and member of the Bates Church located on what today is called Pleasant Hill Road B) unbound diary I believe was written by the mother or some other female relative of GH Mayhugh separated from original binding and stored with the diary of GH 6 inches tall Entries are in pencil and various inks See photos for condition A fascinating glimpse into daily life in Athens almost 150 years ago
