[Dollar, Scotland] A Victorian Album with 10 Photographic Views by James Valentine Dated 1896 A very pretty cherry-red leather pocket-sized photograph album, nicely tooled gilt titles to the front cover and inscribed in ink on the fly-leaf inside “To Miss Bella Lindsay with Mr & Mrs Miller’s best wishes Dollar 4th June 1896”. The album contains a series of 10 views by James Valentine of Dollar and the surrounding area including the town, academy, church, Castle Campbell, Craiginnan Falls, etc. Approx. 170x115mm., a few spots, mainly to endpapers, cover with light rubbing, though overall in good order.
