This is Album de la Galería de pinturas del Museo del Prado Madrid (Album From The Gallery Of Paintings Of The Prado Museum, Madrid). Published by Barcelona etc., Editorial Labor, S.A. 1950. This large, beautiful book is filled with 60 gorgeous tipped in color plates of paintings in the Prado museum in Madrid, Spain. Plates are attached to heavy, card stock paper. Each plate is preceded by a short note about the artist and a page of text about the painting. Book is in excellent condition with the only issues found being mild rubbing along spine, mostly at head and foot. Small mark on bottom edge. Hinge is starting on plate 25. Dark greenish/gray leather boards with gilt design and text. Maroon, black and gray leather spine, also with gilt design and text. Size is approximately 12.75" X 10" X 2" and weight is slightly over 6lb. Please note that the text in this book is written in Spanish. Please see pictures.
