Dozens of high quality engravings of various churches, bridges and scenes throughout Europe, primarily in England, Ireland and France. Published by Charles Tilt in 1832, each scene has a brief written essay describing the area with reasons for inclusion in the collection. In very good condition, this has a modern binding, with new endpapers and spares. Bookplate inside front and pencil on facing page. Charles Tilt was a prominent publisher in London known for his prints. These are done primarily by Thomas H. Shepherd, a well-known architectural watercolorist along with several other prominent artists. Please do not hesitate to email for more pictures or with questions.     The shipping was fast and the book was extremely well packaged. The book itself is exactly as pictured and although rare books are expected to be expensive, I was able to get a small discount that at least covered the shipping. I'm happy with my purchase, so I can say that it was a good value. I love to find old relics that kind of come full circle to find their home. Welcome home to this little gem in the form of a small book. I will take very good care of you! I highly recommend this seller.

    Just picked up my package from Robin Rare Books and let me start by saying WOW!!! Book as advertised for sure. the value of the book certainly dictated some care in shipping but never did I think to this extent. The packaging was incredible. bigger box than needed at first thought but after opening based on the care and multiple layers of packing It would have survived a Tank rolling over it. Very grateful for you listing and working with me on the book, true piece of history I will cherish
