Maroon leather over paper boards with "photographs" stamped in gilt on the front over measuring 6" x 4.5". Assembled are 38 sepia toned photographs measuring roughly 3" x 3", without captions. Rubbing, bumped corners, and slight wear on some of the photographs else very good. A collection of portraits and candids of men and women presumably posing for an amateur photographer at the turn of the century. Images of women smiling along the Massachusetts coast, of them lying in bed in night clothes, and brushing their hair, among several others. Also featured are two images of a man dressed in drag in a field being wooed by another man dressed as a farmer. An amusing, albeit mildly strange group of photographs where the artist's instructions are clearly reflected in the actions of his or her subjects.
