Description

"Portrait and Biographical Album of Branch County, Mich., Containing Full Page Portraits and Biographical Sketches of Prominent and Representative Citizens of the County, Together With Portraits and Biographies of All the Governors of the State, and of the Presidents of the United States" is a 654 page, 8.5"x11" hardcover published in 1888 by Chapman Brothers (Chicago). No author is credited. It contains biographical sketches of many Branch County residents, and full-page illustrations of many of them. It's bound in full gilt-decorated, tooled leather, with all-gilt edges. The book is in good condition. There's a call number sticker on the spine, but it seems to be from a private library - there's a stamp on the second page, but no other internal marks. The leather boards have spots of loss, particularly at the corners and spine ends, a few small stains, a one inch crack at the bottom of the front spine edge. The interior has occasional smudges and light foxing, browning to some pages. The binding is sturdy. International buyers – please note : Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
