Ornate Nelson RSV Revised Standard Version Bible Genuine Leather Hardcover HC Text Edition display This is an old and rustic looking RSV text edition produced by Nelson in genuine leather over boards with art gilt page edges. This is the classic text edition with opaque paper, clear typeface, and a very pleasant reading experience. The leather cover is soft and smooth and retains its aged elegance, though its clear that spine was stored with natural sun facing it which as deteriorated it. It is fragile at the hinges, with some separation happening. While the art-gilding is beautiful and without scratches, but somehow a liquid made contact with the pages and affected the later 1/3rd or so of the text block and this is noticed when reading and, at certain angles, when closed. There is no writing that I could see other than a name on an intro blank page. I always list any writing, stains, tears, or imperfection of any kind. And I always list the condition conservatively, so you should expect the item to be in better condition than listed. Unlike the vast majority of sellers out there, I refuse to hide imperfections through cleverly taken pictures or obscure descriptions.
